First Post - Mind Chaos

A week from today I leave for the Peace Corps. So many things are running through my head that I have no idea what I’m thinking. I am incredibly eager for my journey to begin but I am also terrified of what’s to come. Being away from my family and friends for 2 years will be the hardest obstacle to overcome, but I know that the benefits of this experience will greatly outweigh my struggles.
Besides the chaos going on in my mind I have no updates. I’m sure that a week from now things will be a bit more exciting. Make sure to check for updates!!!!

OMG! I can't believe the day finally came. I was hoping not to cry when we took you to the airport and I didn't. But now my eyes seem to have tears just thinking that you are not here and that my Rocky will no longer fitht with Tia Yazmin and my little angle that's on the way will not meet you until 2012. But I am so happy for you and very proud. I know this is great opportunity that you must take advanctage of, it another challange that you are facing and I know you will do great things. Good luck, be careful and enjoy the experience. Love you! Your sister Vane
